Jean Arlene Beaune of Grand Ledge, born June 18, 1937 in Duluth, Minnesota, passed away November 18, 2018 in Lansing, Michigan. She was a member of Wacousta Community United Methodist Church, former Girl Scout Leader for years; taught tap dancing, and volunteered with handicap horseback riding. Jean is survived by her sons Kirk and Kevin Beaune, grandchildren Amelia and Justin Redman; brothers: Richard Riker, Charles (Lorie) Riker, and Robert (Nancy) Rike; many nieces and nephews, and special friends Les and Carol Palmateer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edward, son Edward “Mickey”, daughter Roxanne; her parents Richard and Arlene (Bongey) Riker and step mother Elaine Riker. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Wacousta Community UMC, 9180 W. Herbison Road, Eagle, MI 48822, with Pastor Hillary Thurston-Cox officiating.

Interment at Maple Ridge Cemetery, Delhi Township. Visitation will be Friday, November 23rd from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge, also Saturday 10-11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Capital Area Humane Society, 7095 W. Grand River Ave.
