Obituary for Harold P. “Harry O” O’Connor Harold Patrick O’Connor, known to his friends as “Harry O”, died peacefully on October 11, 2018 in St. Petersburg, FL. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 42 years, Gloria Jean Cacchillo O’Connor. Born in New York City on December 8, 1933, he was a son of the late Harold and Margaret Comey O’Connor.

Harry graduated from Quinnipiac University with a B.S. in Accounting. During the Korean War, he served in the Army. An active member of his communities in West Haven and St. Petersburg, Fl.

Harry served as treasurer of the Ray Tellier Midget Football League and as treasurer of Sea Horse Park in St. Petersburg. In addition, he was a member of the K of C, V.F.W., and B.P.O.E. In 1991, he retired from SNET, where he was employed as a computer Programmer Supervisor for 36 years.

He was an avid NY Giants football fan. Harry is survived by his three sons, Kevin (wife Sara) of Norwalk, Brian (wife Patricia) of Woodbridge, and Michael (wife Mary) of New Milford: his nine grandchildren, Kara, Kelly, Ashley, Zack, Jared, Matt, Ben, Noah, and Colleen: and his longtime loving companion Ceil Card. He was predeceased by brothers Eugene and Francis O’Connor.

The hours for visitation will be held on FRIDAY from 3 to 7 pm at the West Haven Funeral Home at the green. On Saturday morning at 11 o’clock, entombment of cremains, with military honors, will take place in the chapel at Mt.
