Harold Paul Heard, 93, of Bald Knob died shortly before the morning snow at his home March 3, 2019. He was born September 29, 1925 to the late Joseph William and Ella Neal Heard in Bald Knob. Harold loved gardening, fishing, his family, and his church.

He was proud of his military service in the Army Air Corps as well as his over 35 years of service for the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He was a caring and giving person. He gave the deer as well as friends and neighbors his garden goods and on his last ambulance ride he attempted to tip the ambulance driver.

Harold is survived by the wife whom he adored, Isabell Margie Heard; sons, John Paul Heard and Slayden Wallis; daughters Paula Elaine Launius, Teresa Lynn McDade, Joie Wallis, and Reta Wallis; brothers, Noel Heard, William Coleman Heard, and Robert Ervin Heard; sisters, Alleene Heard, Alice Oleta Harger, Mary Elizabeth Heard, Anna Lee Heard, and Martha Mae Heard; 21 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Joyce Heard; siblings, Brenda Gordon, Boyd Forbes, Elizabeth Green, and Amelia Elrod; and one grandchild, Jenny McDade. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00-11:00A.M. with services immediately following.

Interment will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia. www.
