Cobleskill – Harriet L. McHargue, 80, passed away at her home with her loving family by her side on January 21, 2019. Born May 29, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Anna (Sperbeck) Manchester. Harriet was a graduate of Worcester Central School and retired from Schoharie County Office of Aging as a Medicaid driver for 10 years.

She enjoyed many activities and games, but of all she enjoyed playing bingo. She is predeceased by her husband, Norman McHargue, who passed away on February 20, 1970 and her daughter, Susan McHargue. Harriet is survived by her children: Terry (Laura) McHargue of Howes Cave, Penny (Rick) Wainwright of Rotterdam, Danny McHargue of Schoharie, Norman McHargue of Cobleskill, Joey McHargue of Cobleskill, Timmy (Rebecca) McHargue of Cobleskill, and Missy McHargue of Cobleskill; brother, Harold Manchester; along with 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care Inc., 297 River Street Service Road, Oneonta, NY 13820. Arrangements have been entrusted with Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm Street, Cobleskill, NY.
