Obituary for Hazel Florene Blackmon Hazel Blackmon went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at age 87. She is survived by three daughters, Tammy (Mark) McAlpine, Cindy (Tim) Crowe, and Teresa (Dale) Purser; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Nathan) McCay, Johnathon Cates, Brett (Hannah) Pennington, Courtney Gober, and William Gober; four great grandchildren, Tyler Allen, Hunter Allen, Wyatt McCay and Taylor McCay; one sister, Thelma Hughes; one brother, Billy Don Barrow; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, John William Blackmon; her parents, Ernest & Ruth Barrow; and her siblings, Estelle McAnnally, Howard Barrow, Lloyd Barrow, and Bob Barrow.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Cane Creek Cemetery.
