Hazel Clark Phillips, 89, of Coal Valley, died Friday, November 23, 2018, at home. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Kirk, Huggins, & Esterdahl in Orion. The funeral will follow visitation at 2:00 at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rock Island County Humane Society. Hazel was born on October 31, 1929 in Des Moines, IA.

She married Herbert Jones, and together they had 4 children. She then married Wilbur Clark and together they had 2 children. Hazel then married Charles Phillips.

She was an assembly operator at Montgomery Elevator for 14 years. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Colona. She especially loved being with her family and celebrating holidays.

Survivors include her children, Rodney (Kris) Jones, Bellevue, IL, Ella Schaeffer, Coal Valley, Judy (Jason) Strenski, Melbourne, FL, Dennis Jones, Virginia Beach, VA, Lynn (Ed) Martin, Orion, and Daniel (Liz) Clark, Fulton, IL; her loving step-children; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
