Fears, Helen L., of Greenville, Missouri, was born July 29, 1925, in Greenville, Missouri to Murphy and Martha (nee Rhoden) Allen and entered into rest Tuesday, May 14, 2019 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 93 years, 9 months and 15 days. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Thomas Fears, one daughter, Carolyn Hovis, one daughter-in-law, Rickie Fears, three siblings, Vernon Allen, Herbert Allen and Paul Allen and one sister-in-law Irene Allen. She is survived by, three (3) children, Thomas Fears of O’Fallon, Missouri, James Fears of Hillsboro, Missouri and Linda (Rick) Webb of Cedar Hill, Missouri, one (1) son-in-law, Larry Hovis of O’Fallon, Missouri, sixteen (16) grandchildren, Jeff Fears, Steve Fears, Chris Fears, Tim Fears, David Fears, Jason Fears, Cindy Fears, Rachael Fears, Kathi Fears, Mark Webb, Rick Webb, Kellie Esker, David Mangelsdorf, Jeff Humphey, Larry Hovis and Becky Zimmerman, twenty-five (25) great grandchildren, four (4) great great grandchildren, along with many family and friends.

Helen was a gentle, quiet, smart Christian woman. She was the matriarch of the family and to her the family was everything. She adored each of them and they adored her.

Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro for 16 years and loved taking classes there. She was involved in their bereavement program and was a VBS teacher. Helen enjoyed reading when time would permit.

She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation Monday, May 20, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until Service at 2:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Hillsboro.
