Helen Lucille Hartsell, 87, of Concord, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019 at her home. Helen was born December 27, 1931 to the late Wade Garland Frye and Maggie Ella Kee Frye. She was a woman of faith, being a member of Glorietta Baptist Church in Concord for many years.

Helen was an excellent mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. . She was truly the family’s rock.

Helen had many hobbies including cooking for her family and friends, crocheting, and going to Cherokee. She was apart of a breakfast club that would meet about every morning. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by husband, Hubert Ray Hartsell; brother, Boyce Edward Frye; step-son, Michael Hartsell, and her loving and faithful companion, Ginger her dog. Survivors include daughter, Linda Eudy and husband, Chuck; son, Butch Gray and wife, Robin; daughter, Betsy Bost and husband Mike, step-daughter, Patricia Guy and husband Benny, and step-daughter, Mary Ruth Hartsell, Frances Hartsell; and faithful sister-in-law, Betty Frye. Helen is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildern, and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11am -1pm,Thursday, January 24, 2018, at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The funeral service will follow the visitation in the Hartsell chapel at 1pm. Burial will follow at the Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis.
