Helen M. Delrose (nee Popa), age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 with her loving family by her side. Helen is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gene Delrose; children, Rondi (lifetime friend Sharon Palmer) Kallas, Mark (Laura) Delrose, Dawn (Kevin) Pendry; grandchildren, Stacy (Carlos) Hinojosa, Stephanie (Joel) Aranda, Gianna, Alexa, Mara and Joseph Delrose, Nicole (Kevin Depinto) Pendry, Jessica (fiancé Kevin Holzinger) Pendry and Dean Pendry; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Margaret Stroh; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mildred (nee Belcher) Popa; siblings, Andrew Popa, Gordon Popa, Deannie Mooney and Carol Kirdani.

Helen was an administrative executive for Illinois Bell later changing to AT&T. She was an avid bingo player. Her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.

She will be dearly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s name to Joliet Area Community Hospice would be appreciated. Services for Helen were held privately.

Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. She will be laid to rest at Abraham Lincoln Nation Cemetery at a later date.
