Obituary for Hilda M. Pritts Welker Hilda M. Pritts Welker, 94, of Scottdale, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully Fri. July 27, 2018 at her home.
She was born Sept. 22, 1923 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late Milton and Amanda Yothers Pritts.
Hilda was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Church of God where she taught Sunday School Class for 33 years and Bible School for 20 years. She served on the church council and was church treasurer for 3 years.
She also was a member and held different offices in the ULCSC and was a member of the flower and social committees for many years. Rev. Larry White asked her to start the prayer chain, and she served as head of Young & Heart for several years.
She was saved at the age of 14. Hilda was a graduate of the former East Huntingdon Twp. High School with the class of 1941.
She was a Veteran of WW II having served in the U.S. Navy. She was stationed at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, FL. She was also a member of the WCTU.
Hilda will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children Lee Welker and wife Diane of Mt. Pleasant and Marsha Ackerman and husband Kevin of Mt. Pleasant, her grandchildren Alicia Saxon and husband Dave and Monica Keffer and husband Justin, Chad Ackerman, and Dustin Ackerman and very special friend Kaitlyn Steyer, her brothers Paul Pritts and wife Dalene and Richard Pritts and wife Linda all of Mt.
Pleasant, her sisters Gladys Brush and husband Thomas of Scottdale, Loretta Brush of Mt. Pleasant, Beulah Coffman of Mt. Pleasant, and Emma Lou Mills and husband Dale of Ruffsdale, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Hilda was predeceased by her husband of 54 years Earl L. Welker, her sister Betty Lute, and her brothers Milton, Jr., Eugene, and Carl Pritts. Family and friends will be received Sat. from 6-8 PM and Sun.

from 10 – 11 AM, the hour of a Funeral Service in the Mt. Pleasant Church of God, 936 W. Main St., Mt. Pleasant, PA.
15666, with Pastor Bob Huber and Pastor Dave Stickley officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park. Military rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the Mt.
Pleasant American Legion Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Mt. Pleasant Church of God,Church Missions,in memory of Hilda M. Pritts.
