Obituary for Thomas Edward “Tom” Grindle Thomas Edward “Tom” Grindle, 71, of Normalville passed away Wed. July 11, 2018 in the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant.

He was born July 11, 1947 in Connellsville a son of the late Edward Russel and Betty Elizabeth Grimm Grindle. Tom was a graduate of Connellsville High School. He worked for the former Anchor Hocking Glass Plant in South Connellsville and later worked as a equipment operator for PennDot for over 25 years.

He attended the Mt. Tabor Church of God. Tom liked to work with wood and draw.

He liked the outdoors and enjoyed camping, and he loved his pet dog Kissy. Tom is survived by his children Thomas R. Grindle and Cindy of Normalville and Susan Betty Thomas and husband Brian of Connellsville, his grandchildren Brian Thomas, Jr., Nichole Marsh and husband Cody, Julie Thomas, and Justin Thomas, his great grandchildren Joseph Marsh, Jeremiah Miles, Isabella Thomas, and Katrina Grindle, and his former wife of 19 years Jeannette Lidey of Scottdale. In addition to his parents Tom was predeceased by a son Timothy Ray Grindle and 2 grandsons, who were twins, Matthew Edward and Thomas Frank Grindle.

Family and friends will be received Tues. from 2-9 PM in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd. , Melcroft (724-455-2310) where a funeral service will be held Wed.

at 2:00 PM with Elder Charles Hall officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
