Obituary for Carl E. Johnson Carl E.. Johnson, 83 of Mill Run died Tuesday July 10, 2018 in Excela Health Frick Hospital. He was born August 14, 1934 in Mill Run a son of the late Alvin R and Effa Schmuck Johnson.
Carl was employed as a timberman having worked for Sproul Lumber, Mastowski and Fullem Lumber and Kern Brothers Lumber Co.. He was a member of the Critchfield Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He is survived by his wife Wiona Traugh Johnson; two sons, Carl A. Johnson and his wife Susan of Normalville and Lance Johnson and his wife Leonidas of Mill Run; two grandsons, Philip Johnson and his wife Amanda of Connellsville and Michael Johnson of Mill Run; four great grandchildren, Emma, Eli, Ean and Kellcee and two sisters-in-law, Ruth Anderson and her husband Howard of Connellsville and Greta Whitten of Texas and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a grandson, Johnmarc Johnson; a daughter-in-law Sharleen Porterfield Johnson; brothers, Roy Johnson and his wife Marie, Reid Johnson and his wife Jessie, Lorenzo Johnson and his wife Ellery, Dale Johnson and his wife Glada and William R. Johnson and sisters, Emma Johnson, Betty Porterfield and her husband Clyde, Hattie Mae Joll and her husband Robert and infants, Ruby Marie and Elmer. Friends will be received from 7-9 P.M. Wednesday and 2-9 P.M. Thursday in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., corner of Municipal Building Road and Route 711, Melcroft where services will be held on Friday at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Randy Newell officiating.
