Hisako Long, 75, residing in South Bend, passed away at 2:11 pm Monday, June 25, 2018 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She was born September 22, 1942 in Itsukushima Island, Japan to Chiyo Higa. On June 5, 1974 in Okinawa, Japan, Hisako married Rick Long, who survives.

In addition to her loving husband of 44 years, Hisako is survived by her mother, Chiyo Higa of Okinawa, Japan; one daughter, Motoko Higa of South Bend; and one son, Steven Long, also of South Bend. She was preceded in death by two brothers. There will be no public services.
