Hope S. Fulkrod, 72, of Avis, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 27, 2018. She was born in Jersey Shore on September 12, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Eva Mae (Spotts) Fulkrod. Hope worked for West Company Pharmaceutical for over 44 years.

She attended church at the Christian Missionary Alliance where she was part of the Comfort Stitchers. Here she loved to make hats and scarves. Hope was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She loved to bake and decorate cakes. Hope enjoyed babysitting and loved to spend time with her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Hope is survived by a sister, Karen Fulkrod, of Avis, a brother-in-law, Dave Barner, of Jersey Shore, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon E. Fulkrod and Leroy J. Fulkrod and two sisters, Carole L. Kutza and Joye L. Barner. A Celebration of Life service for Hope will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00am at Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore with Pastor Robert Parrish officiating.

A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00am-11:00am. Burial will be private for the family at a later date in Jersey Shore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Hope’s name to Mountain View Alliance Church, 1515 Cemetery St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740.
