Judith L. Jackson, 75, of Jersey Shore, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018, at the UPMC Williamsport Hospital. Born Sept.

3, 1943, in Clearfield, she was the daughter of to the late Melvin E. Nearhood and the former Jane Smeal. Judith was preceded in death by her husband Alex M. Jackson, April 28, 1990. For many years Judith and her husband were the owners of A.J. Sales and Manufacturing.

She is survived by a son, Alex M. (Melissa) Jackson, of Jersey Shore; and a sister, Ann (Larry) Bennett, of Jersey Shore. Memorial services will be Monday, Oct. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.

Friends may call from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday evening, Oct. 29, at Welker Funeral Home. The Rev.

Dean Olson will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Montoursville Cemetery. Family will provide flowers and ask for memorial contributions in Judith’s name be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701, or to the Appalachian Horse Help and Rescue, 1021 Yerger Road, Linden, PA 17744.
