Obituary of H.P. “Petie” Randall H.P. “Petie” was born November 9, 1947 to H.P. “Pete” Randall, Sr. and Faye Masoner in Olla and passed from this life on April 29, 2018 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Petie was a retired teacher and coach who spent twenty years in various positions in the Lasalle Parish school district. He met many wonderful people during his career and cherished the many relationships that he created with his coworkers, students and their parents.

He also spent another twenty plus years in various roles, including plant manager, at Louisiana Pacific in Urania, La. Petie loved and enjoyed more than anything watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He spent many hours playing catch, teaching, and working with John and Lori in the back yard.

His hobbies were hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting, and Louisiana sports. He could tell you the score of any high school game, college game (especially LSU), and sometimes professional games as long as the St. Louis Cardinals or New Orleans Saints were in the box score. He spent many hours with his friends searching old trade routes and establishments of the Native Americans, collecting many artifacts and acquiring knowledge along the way.

He loved hunting and fishing also. He would keep notes on what body of water he fished, the rate of rise/fall, the times when the fish bit the best, and whether or not he thought he caught his honey holes at the perfect time depending on these circumstances. He is survived by his wife: Sharon, son: John Paul Randall and wife Lacey, daughter: Lori Beth Randall, step daughter: Lynette Villemarette and husband Rick, step son: Jason Coon and his wife Pam, grandchildren: Alayna Randall, Madeline Randall, and Ridge Randall, step grandchildren: Megan Breaux, Kelsey Villemarette, Ryan Villemarette, Cassidy Coon, Rachel Coon, and Lane Coon step great-grandchildren: Zaylee Walker, Jaidyn Jones, and Laikyn Jones Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday May 1, 2018 at Riser Funeral Home in Olla, LA with Bro.
