Hubert’s Obituary Hubert Brumett, 97, of rural Crothersville, IN, passed away at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at his son’s home. Born October 17, 1921 in Harlan County, KY, he was the son of William Brumett and Edna (Hensley) Brumett, who are both deceased. Hubert served in the United States Army, retired from Arvin Industries, and a member of the VFW in Seymour.

He enjoyed woodworking, making walking sticks, canes, and birdhouses and taking them to flea markets to sale. On May 15, 1946 in Uniontown, IN, he married Joy (Scifres) Brumett, who passed away on February 19, 2010. Survivors include, 1 son, Ed (Brenda) Brumett of Crothersville, IN, 11 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, 1 brother, Lloyd (Eloise) Brumett of Jennings County, IN.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Dale Brumett and siblings, Harrison, Roy, June, Lewis, Boyd, Nola, Pearl, Ruby, Audney, and Thelma. Cremation services were entrusted to Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville. Online condolences can be given to the family at www.
