Hugh “David” Linch, 71 of Moreland, GA, passed onto his heavenly father’s arms, on Thursday, May 30, 2019. David was born March 9, 1948 in Newnan, GA to the late Hugh Linch and Estelle Walker Linch. David graduated from Newnan High School in 1967 and attended South Georgia Voc & Tech in Americus, GA, where he met the love of his life, Cheryl McMullan.

David and Cheryl married July 18, 1970 and were married 44 years, when Cheryl passed from an extended illness in 2014. David retired from Coweta County School System after teaching Automotive for 20 years. Many of his students formed lasting friendships with him.

David also retired from Roadway after 18 years with them. David was a member of White Oak Presbyterian Church. David and Cheryl were blessed with 3 boys; Michael (Trisha) Linch, Mark Linch and Jordan Linch; brother, Bobby (Juanita) Linch; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends.

David loved those grandchildren and they could make him smile and chuckle when no one else could. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www. mckoon.com.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home 38 Jackson St. Newnan, GA with Rev. Mike Farr officiating. Interment will follow at White Oak Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until service time. Flowers are welcome or contributions can be made White Oak Presbyterian Church 2796 Gordon Rd. Senoia, GA 30276 or to your favorite charity.

David’s family wishes to thank everyone for their love, concern, support and prayers. No matter how small, each act of Kindness was deeply appreciated. Special Thanks to the Cambridge House and Ms. Marie, Ms. Ann Marie, Ms. Pam, Ms. Peggy, Ms. Quanessa, Bridgeway Hospice and Eternal Hope Hospice facility.
