Ida Mae Kitts, 88, of Hurricane joined her husband, Donald, in Heaven Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was born November 1, 1930 in South Charleston, a daughter of the late Andrew and Dorothy Rice Crouse. She is also preceded in death by all of her siblings, Eva Hedrick, Ada Stowers, Della Campbell, Helen O’Dell, Luther Crouse, Bruce Crouse, Clyde Crouse and Carl Crouse as well as her husband, Donald C. Kitts who passed September, 2018.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Hurricane and was a former payroll clerk for Monsanto Corporation, Nitro for 20 years. Surviving are her daughters, Donna Sergent (Frank) of Hurricane, Kathy Saunders (Scott) of Hebron, KY; grandchildren, Bradley Sergent (Ginger), Matthew Sergent (Kelly), Corey Sergent (Katie), Steven Cox and Brittany Burke; great-grandchildren, Hailey Burke, Luke Sergent, Hank Sergent and Quinn Sergent. Funeral service will be held at 3pm Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home, Hurricane with Pastor Jerry Losh officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private entombment will take place at Tyler Mount Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. You may also visit her Tribute page at ChapmanFuneralHomes.com to share your memories with the family.
