Obituary for Irma L. Rapin Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 93 years. The daughter of the late George and Lorna (Menshardt) Luckey, Irma was born December 6, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She married Albert J. Rapin on July 20, 1946. He predeceased her May 9, 2006. Irma was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed reading, going to the casino, playing bingo, camping, ceramics, making jewelry and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are one son and one daughter, Joseph Rapin, Freeland; Amy (Brian) Reetz, Saginaw; a daughter-in-law, Susan Rapin, Saginaw; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Rapin, James II (Larissa), Jennifer (Ryan), Nick (Katie) and Andrew (John) and Emily Reetz; 10 great-grandchildren, William, Ava, Hannah, Morgan, Connor, Gracelyn, James III, Claire, Gunner and Dax; several nieces and nephews. Irma was preceded in death by a son, James Rapin, and by two sisters, Helen and Myra.

Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Road in Saginaw. Sister Janet Pewoski, CSJ, will officiate. Honoring Mrs. Rapin’s wishes, cremation will follow.

Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty), where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre.
