Obituary for Catherine R. Hickson Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. Age 95 years. Daughter of the late Peter and Emma (Bommarito) Favara, Catherine was born May 14, 1923 in Saginaw, Michigan.

She was married to James Hickson on September 6, 1947. He predeceased her December 26, 2001. Catherine was employed at Weichman’s for 25 years.

Catherine was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She enjoyed family gatherings. Surviving to cherish her memory are two sons and one daughter, Thomas and Katherine Hickson, Saginaw; Mary Catherine and John Jordan, Saginaw; James P. Hickson, Overland Park, Kansas; four grandchildren, Thomas Hickson Jr, Matthew Hickson, Kristopher Jordan, Meghann and Jason Polevoi; two great-grandchildren, Joseph Hickson and Judah Polevoi; her brother, Dominic and Catherine Favara, Midland; several nieces and nephews.

Catherine was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, Grace DiMercurio, Elfemia (Famie) DeAngelo, Ann Kaczor, Joseph, and Charles Favara. Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 5376 State St., Saginaw. Rev.

Fr. Richard A. Bokinskie will officiate with entombment in St. Andrew Mausoleum. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
