J. Edward “Chuck” McManus, 83, of Harrisburg, NC passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. J. was born February 8, 1935 in Concord, NC to the late Edward Lafanzo McManus and the late Lula Mae McManus. He was also preceded in death by his wife Mildred Sloop McManus in 2013; and brother Hoyle G. McManus.

Survivors include his daughter, Tonya McManus Arney and husband Frank; his son, Jeffrey Paul McManus and wife Laura; grandchildren Alexis, Brittney, Eve and Liza; brother Donnie McManus and sister Linda Klutz. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis with full military honors. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the McManus family. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.
