Jack Dean Barnes, age 64, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home with Rev.
Rick Zickefoose officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Interment will be private.

He attended Mid Prairie Schools. Jack was formerly of Washington and had resided in Mt. Pleasant for the past 15 years.
He was self-employed as a mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, working on motors and going on Sunday drives. Jack especially enjoyed the companionship of his dog, Razor.
He is survived by his son, Mike Carlin of Washington, IA; grandson, Matt Entsminger of Washington, IA; granddaughter, Heaven Palmer-Dittrich and husband Dustin of Washington, IA; grandson, Dakoda Carlin of Wayland, IA; great-grandchildren: Lukas and Greyson Dittrich and Brylee and Skylyn Carlin; step-father, Owen Bringman of Aurora, CO; siblings: Rolland Barnes and wife Deb of Vinton, IA; Barney Barnes of Washington, IA; Steven Barnes of Washington, IA; Kenny Barnes of Iowa City, IA; Della Stafford and husband Jay of Aurora, CO; Mark Bringman and wife Angie of Washington, IA; and several nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death his mother, Ada Arlene Bringman; father, Jack Barnes; and brother, Marion Barnes.
