JACK H. SCHREIBER Age 93, of Crest Hill, IL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on December 27th. Jack was born in Chicago, IL to Alvin and Marie Schreiber, on December 5, 1925. He was married to Katherine “Katie” Clara Clabeau in 1950 in Clarendon Hills, IL and they were together for over 50 years.

He worked at a variety of jobs over his lifetime, the most prominent of which were as an owner/operator of a Laundromat in Oak Park, IL, a draftsman at Zenith Radio and his final assignment, at the Federal Government – General Services Administration (GSA) performing design and layout for Federal office buildings across the Midwest. He had a variety of hobbies over the years, most recently singing with a senior musical and entertainment group “The Blenders”, as well as, golfing, ballroom dancing, playing cards with friends and being an avid bowler. He also loved annual fishing trips with his family, writing poetry, creating artwork.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife “Katie”, Brother Alvin, Father Alvin and Mother Marie. Jack is survived by an immediate family, Brother; Dale Schreiber (Joyce), five daughters; Amy Turner (Kelly), Jill O’Brien (Bob), Beth Treadway (Doug), Lois Watkin (Geoff) and Christine Gruszauskas, four Grandchildren; Ben, Kris, Eric and Katie, and ten Great-grandchildren.
