JACKIE’s Obituary Mr. Jack (Jackie) Thomas Odom, Jr. 70 died February 27, 2019 at his residence in Sebastian. He was born in York, South Carolina and lived in Flint, Michigan; St Paul Park, Minnesota and Sebastian, Florida. He was a graduate of Flint Central High School.

He was a Navy veteran and received the Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. he was in the Army reserves in MN. He was a Master Communications Technologist, and worked for Northwestern Bell and AT&T in Minnesota until he started his own telecommunications company, CCT, in Stillwater, MN.

When he moved to FL in 2005, he started working for Kay Sparrow, and later, Technology Partners of Vero Beach, until his stroke in 2017. He volunteered as a driver for St Luke’s Church Thrift store in Micco, FL. He was a member of the VFW in Lake Elmo, MN Coached girls softball and basketball for both his daughters in the 1990’s, and played men’s softball and baseball throughout his life.

Jack will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather, as well as a friend to many. He was well known for his skill at home improvement and DIY projects and a trivia expert by his family. Survivors include his wife Sue Ann Odom of Sebastian, daughters Jessica Anne Odom and Christine Marie Odom of Sebastian, his most favorite nephew Ron Harris, 3 grandchildren, Audrey, Jackson, Mary and many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by, Mother Ethel (Big G) Henson, Brother, Ronald W. Harris, Stepdad Charles (Red) Henson, Stepfather, John Harris, and Father Jack Odom Sr. Visitation will be held 1:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2019, Strunk Funeral Home followed by a Celebration of his life at 2:00 PM in the Funeral Home Chapel. Reception to follow at Barefoot Bay community center, Bldg. D & E, 1225 Barefoot Blvd on the golf course in Barefoot Bay.

Mr. Odom will be buried out to sea. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Sebastian. A guest book is available at www.
