CHARLES’ Obituary Mr. Charles Palmerston Anderson Frankenthal, 87, passed away May 24, 2019 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach, FL. Charles was born in Chicago, IL and lived in Vero Beach coming from Tequesta, FL. He was a 1st Lieutenant Army veteran stationed at Fort Ord, CA.

His career included VP – Account Director at Needham, Harper and Steers; President of a fine furniture manufacturer; Sr. VP/Chief Marketing Officer Amcore Financial, Inc. Charles was a member of St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church, Vero Beach, FL. Episcopal Diocese of Chicago; Board President of the Rockford Symphony and Rockford Art Museum; Board Member of Rockford College; Board President of the Tequesta Art Museum; Volunteer at Tequesta Hospital He attended the Hill School and was graduate of Yale University in 1955. Charles was the grandson of Charles Palmerston Anderson, a presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the United States.

He was preceded in death by his son Charles Anthony Frankenthal. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Ann-Perry Krugler Frankenthal; sons, Geoff of Naperville, IL and John Frankenthal of Geneva, IL. grandchildren, Katherine, Christine, Alexandra, Thomas, Patrick and Samantha.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bishop Anderson House, 707 South Wood Street #101, Chicago, IL 60612 A Memorial Service will be held in Phelps, WI. Arrangements are by Strunk Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach.
