Obituary for Jacquelyn A. “Jackie” Baker Jacquelyn A. “Jackie” Baker, 87. a lifelong resident of Dunbar, passed away peacefully Sat. July 28, 2018 in the Marquis Gardens Place, Uniontown.
She was born April 9, 1931 in Dunbar a daughter of the late Gerardo and Clara Liberatore Rossi. Jackie was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1949. She then graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Dietetics.
She was a member of the St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Dunbar and the Connellsville Hospital Club. She enjoyed playing Bridge with her Ladies Card Club. Jackie will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving family, her children Terry Baker and wife Kristin of Dunbar and Susan Mahokey and husband Dave of Dunbar, her grandchildren Christopher Baker of Dunbar, David Mahokey and fiancee Nicole Stouffer of Burbank, CA.
, and Lauren Mahokey of Culpeper, VA. . Jackie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents Jackie was predeceased by her husband of 45 years Arthur Eugene Baker on Aug. 7, 2000, a brother Gerald Rossi and a sister Amelia Santo. Family and friends will be received Mon.
from 3-8 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville (724-628-1430) where a Blessing Service will be held Tue. at 9:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, in St. Aloysius R. C. Church, Dunbar, with Rev. Robert Lubic as celebrant.
A committal service and interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Conn-Area Catholic School, 613 E. Crawford Ave. , Connellsville, PA.
