Jairus “JD” Holt August 06, 1938 – May 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Jairus “JD” Holt, 80, of McCalla, AL passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019. JD retired as a mechanic with 40 years of service with the Alabama National Guard. He was a member of the Alabama Auto Racing Pioneers where he was inducted into the Talladega Raceway Hall of Fame .

He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ginger Holt and his daughter, Dana Holt. JD is survived by his sons, Jimmy Holt and Joey (Kandy) Holt; his daughter, Gina (Jeff) Jones; his grandchildren, Kristin (David) Guy, Kaylyn Holt and Cody Smith, Robin Taylor, Tabitha (Daniel) Ray, Todd (Kayla) Jones; his 8 great grandchildren and his sisters, Barbara Murphy and Ann Murphy. Chapel service will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 – 2 p.m. Burial will be at Forest Grove Memorial Gardens.

Bro. Harlan Turman will be officiating.
