JERSEY SHORE – James A. “Jim” Anderson, 87, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at the UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport. James was married on October 12, 1983 to the former A. Shirlene (Myers) who survives. They have been married for 34 years.

James was born on September 21, 1930 in Jersey Shore and was the son of the late Harry and Lydia (McConnell) Yohe Anderson. He graduated from Jersey Shore High School then attended Williamsport Area Community College. He joined the US Army and served during the Korean War.

James had worked at Textron and retired in 1991. He enjoyed woodworking, reading and hunting. In addition to his wife Shirlene, he is survived by two daughters; Kimberly Jean Hile (Dennis) of Linden and Carolyn A. Wagner (Gurney Wagner, III) of Mill Hall, one step-son; Joseph R. Walker (Tanya) of Mill Hall and four grandchildren; Brent A. Hile of Linden, Justin M. Walker (Neysa) of Winston Salem, NC, G. Colton Wagner and Laura C. Wagner, both of Mill Hall.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife; Jeannine (Waite) Anderson, two brothers; Thomas and Phillip Yohe and two sisters; Betty Yohe Shultz and Helen Anderson Westbrook. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore.
