James Allen Olson, 49, of Roscoe passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018. Born August 25, 1969 in Rockford to Gerald and Jean (Wiemuth) Olson. A veteran of the US Army serving during Desert Storm.

Married Laura Haskins on September 17, 2011 in Holmen, WI. Employed for 15 years by Aerotek for Chrysler. Jim was a member of the Rockford and Roscoe VFW, Navy Club Ship 1 and the Rockford American Legion.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, campfires, hotrods, puzzles, playing on dart and bowling leagues and the Chicago Bears. Survivors include wife, Laura Olson of Roscoe; sisters, Joan (Keven) Porter, Janet (Robert) Worley; mothers and fathers-in-law, Carole and Bill Solsrud and Norm and Sue Haskins; sisters-in-law, Rhonda Neslund, Brenda Haskins; brother-in-law, Mike (Anne) Cave; nieces and nephews, Shelby Porter, Shane Porter, Erich (Emily) Neslund, Christian Neslund, Michael Cave, Jonathan Cave, and Zachary Cave. Predeceased by parents.

Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Road, Loves Park with a visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Memorials may be given to the family to be used in Jim’s name at a later date.
