James Bernard Ayres March 23, 1934 – February 06, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card James Bernard Ayres, 84, of Delaware Park, Lopatcong Township passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019. Born March 23, 1934 in Hackettstown, NJ to the late Homer C. Ayres and Helen Neal Fairer. He was a 1943 graduate of Phillipsburg High School; and a 1961 graduate of Florida Southern University, after serving in the Air Force.

He was a realtor from 1974 until 2015 at the Budd Agency in Phillipsburg with licenses in NJ and PA and a member of two multi-lists boards during that time. His favorite past-times were playing tennis, golf and skiing. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; and his constant companion by his side, Mitzi; nieces Marcia Pepper (Richard) and Jenna Mauder (Sean); sister-in-law Helen Wayne; great-nieces Laura and Lumen; and great-nephew Travis.

At his request, funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
