Gary Peters , 59, of Scranton, PA passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Care Center of Phillipsburg in Phillipsburg, NJ Gary was born in Easton, PA on December 26, 1959 to the late Charles W. Conrad and Myrtle Mae Hopper Peters. Gary was a custodian at Pizza Hut in Scranton, PA for many years and participated in the Keystone Community Res Day Program of Scranton. Gary loved to take long walks, going to the mall, and going to the park to swing on the swings.

Everywhere Gary went, someone knew him. He was an excellent bowler and participated in a bowling league for many years. Gary loved bingo, camping with his sister, shooting pool and playing quoits with his brothers.

He loved to travel, especially going on cruises. Gary was a fan of Elvis and enjoyed dancing. Gary was a member of the Hillside Rod and Gun Club.

Gary is survived by brothers, William Peters and his wife June, Thomas Peters and his wife Toot, Terry Peters and his wife Charlotte and Barry Peters and his wife Lisa; sisters, Lois Williams and Karen Neely and her husband John; dear friend, Jack; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by brothers, Clarence “Skip” Peters, Jr. and James Peters; sisters Gloria Puff and Delores McWilliams. A Memorial Service for Gary will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 2pm at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.

A Memorial Visitation of Family and Friends will be held from 12pm until service time. Interment will be in Hay’s Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial’s may be made in Gary’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association; 617 Main Street A; Hellertown, PA 18055.
