Barbara Ann Kober, May 25, 1943 — March 01, 2019

Barbara Ann Kober, 75, of Harmony Township, NJ passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL. Barbara was born in Easton, PA on May 25, 1943 to the late John Aloysius and Florence Mae Benner Luke. Barbara was the secretary for her husband, William, at Kober’s Truck Parts in Franklin Township for 28 years.

Prior to working with her husband, Barbara worked at WEST in Easton , PA and was the Secretary for Raymond Stem, Administrator at Warren Hospital from 1960-1972. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1960. Barbara was a friendly and helpful person to all.

She enjoyed gardening, mowing her lawn, being active, baking her famous lemon meringue pie and making pot roast. During her time at her Florida home, Barbara enjoyed playing tennis and participating in activities at the local senior center. She was faithful to her monthly lunches with her childhood friends.

Barbara was know for being creatively thrifty, but having a generous heart. Most of all, she was a loving and faithful wife to her beloved husband, William with whom she loved traveling in their motor home and going to truck shows. They were inseparable.

Barbara was a member of Montana Methodist Church in Harmony Township, NJ where she was Secretary and Treasurer. She also enjoyed helping at the Hunter’s Lunches twice a year. Barbara was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Phillipsburg Chapter.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, William G. Kober; brother-in-law, Gabriel L. Kober and his wife, Marian of Bath, PA; nieces, Tammy Kober Ortiz and her husband, Ulises; 3 great-nephews, Darragh, Brogan, and John Breslin; a great-niece, Brannagh Breslin; as well as Lester Kober and his wife, Derby of Alpha, NJ. A Funeral Service for Barbara will be held on Friday, March 8, 2019 at 11am at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A Visitation of Family and Friends will be held from 10am until service time.

Interment will be in Alpha Presbyterain Cemetery in Alpha, NJ. In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials in Memory of Barbara may be made to Montana United Methodist Church; 539 Montana Road; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
