Catherine Lorraine “Rainie” Gordon, 83, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at New Eastwood Healthcare Center in Wilson Boro. , PA. Catherine was born in Hughesvilles, NJ on December 31, 1935 to the late Arthur and Blanche Susan Ward Cyphers.

Catherine was a secretary with Koh-i-Noor of Bloomsbury, NJ and for her brother-in-law Orville Henderson, CPA. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1954. Catherine enjoyed reading and, most importantly, taking care of her family.

Catherine was of the Methodist Faith. Catherine is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harry Gordon; a daughter, Susan Hartung and her husband, David of Milford, NJ; a grandson, Gregory Hartung; and a sister, Janet Paulson. Catherine was predeceased by her brother Arthur Cyphers and his wife, Shirley; and sister, Margaret Schenck and her husband, Arthur.

A Funeral Service for Catherine will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 11am at the Rupell Funeral Home, LLC; 465 Memorial Parkway; Phillipsburg, NJ 08865. A Visitation of Family and Friends will be held from 10am until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Greenwich Cemetery; Stewartsville, NJ.
