Funeral services for James Bryan Lovell, age 63 of Clarkesville, will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Hills Crossing Baptist Church. Rev. Tony Goss will officiate with interment to follow the service at Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Lovell passed away January 1, 2019. Born on July 1, 1955 in Stephens County, Mr. Lovell was the son of Hebron and Peggy Wooten Lovell. Mr. Lovell was retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Center and he was a member and deacon at Hills Crossing Baptist Church.

Mr. Lovell was a member of the Georgia Mountain Shooting Association and a member of the International Benchrest Shooters (IBS). Survivors include his wife, Judy Dill Lovell of Clarkesville; sons and daughters in law Justin and Katie Lovell of Alto and Jordan and Sasha Lovell of Lula; sisters and brothers in law Teresa and Jerry Thomason of Mt. Airy, Janet and Ricky Wilbanks of Baldwin and Dianne and Jimmy Perry of Mt.

Airy as well as granddaughters Maddison and Morgan Lovell of Alto. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PMand from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to: The Gideons International, PO Box 1855, Clarkesville, GA 30523 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
