James Carnell Lee “Me Me” James Carnell Lee was born on November 20, 1962, in Monroe County, AL. He was one of several children born to Albert Clyde Lee, Sr. and Annie Maude Kyles Lee. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with Antioch Baptist Church where he served on the Usher Board and worshiped faithfully throughout his lifetime.

He recently joined the Hopewell C.M.E. Church in Monroeville, AL, under the Pastoral leadership of Rev. Eddie Marzette. An easy spirited person, who loved his family “Carnell” treated others with kindness.

Not the boastful type, his words were always given and received with respect. He met no strangers. James loved to cook and he was proud to be an Alabama fan.

Most described him as unselfish and down to earth, but when Carnell made up his mind about something, it was hard to change it. He is a 1982 graduate of J. F. Shields High School, where he was loved by many. James worked for several years for both, Zapata Haynes, as a Commercial Fisherman for and Standard Furniture, as a Heavy Machine Operator.

In the evening hours of Thursday, April 26, 2018, he succumbed to his battle here on earth. God called him Home and he departed the Mobile Infirmary Hospital and entered the gates of Heaven. He leaves to cherish his memory, one son: Tyler Coleman of Pensacola, FL; one daughter: Kemisha Coleman of Monroeville, AL; a step daughter: Dominique Coleman of Monroeville, AL; two brothers: Edwin L.
