Obituary for James “Jim” F. Smith James “Jim” F. Smith, 81, of Bristol, VA passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 at Greystone Healthcare Center, Blountville, TN. He was born in Coeburn, VA on October 31, 1936, a son of the late Paul and Hattie Horne Smith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Smith.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and had been a contract electrician all of his life. He was a member of IBEW Local 934 in Blountville, TN. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time on his computer.

Jim is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Smith; son, James Robert McPherson; grandson, Keiran James Smith; granddaughter, Aidan Elisabeth Smith; brother, David Smith and wife Kathy; and pet cat, Monkey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, 417 Lee St., Bristol, VA. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Minister Ronnie Musick officiating.
