Nott Street, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late James Pittman Petty, Sr. and Doris Jean Robinette Petty. He loved to sing gospel and country music and was an avid Gamecock fan.

He was a member of Cherokee Gospel Tabernacle. Surviving are a brother, Steve Petty and wife, Sirena of Gaffney; two sisters, Donna Petty Blackwell and fiancé, Bobby Lemmons, and Rhonda Petty Robbins and husband, Marty, both of Gaffney; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Petty Peterson and his grandparents, Johnny & Wilma Lee.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Wells officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342 or Cherokee County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, P.O. Box 340, Gaffney, SC 29342.
