Formerly of Torrington and Avon, CT, he had been a resident of Florida for the past 20 years. Jim is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 21 years, Lori (née Ronde) Wilcox; his sisters, Claire (Joan Rosazza) Wilcox of Carlisle and Cape Cod, MA and Patricia Wilcox (the late Allan) DeBlasio of Middletown, CT; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and his beloved 4 legged companions, Brady and Chloe. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frederick Wilcox.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Friends of Gummi (www. friendsofgummi.org), an animal rescue organization.
