Obituary for James John Roden James John Roden, 88, of Charlotte, died September 23, 2018, at Concord Place in Concord, NC. James was born in the Bronx, New York, on April 29, 1930, the son of Arthur Albert and Mary Sullivan Roden. When his country called upon its young men for service, he answered his country’s call to service and enlisted in the United States Navy.

Upon his honorable discharge, James went to work as a steamfitter doing commercial construction projects. In 2016, he moved to Charlotte. James is survived by his niece, Dianne (husband Robert) Austin of Charlotte; and three nephews: Andrew (wife Tammy) Regan, John Regan, and Jim Regan, all of Monticello, NY James is further survived by his great nephews and nieces in Charlotte: Todd, Lori, Craig and Sarah; as well as numerous other great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Private interment to take place at a later date in Cathedral Cemetery in Scranton, PA.
