James L. “Jim” White Sr., 72, Imler, passed away Saturday evening, June 30, 2018, at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh. He was born December 13, 1945, in Altoona, son of the late Joseph W. and Helen K. (Keasey) White. He married Ruth I. Chesney on June 11, 1965, in East Freedom.

Surviving are his wife, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage; three daughters: Tammy White, Bonnie Corle and husband, Todd, and Kathy S.; a son, James L. Jr. and wife, Debra; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, William Chris and wife, Margaret. Jim graduated from Hollidaysburg Sr. High School, Class of 1963. He retired from McLanahan Corp.

having worked in the foundry department and as a warehouse supervisor. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, immediately followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Brother Joe Ebersole officiating.

Interment will be at Mooresville Cemetery. Memorials may be given in care of the family.
