James McKenzie, 71, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at WMHS Regional Medical Center. Born February 13, 1947 in Frostburg to Henry and Margaret (Rizer) McKenzie. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene (Staup) McKenzie; sisters, Donna Shriver and Carolyn Shoemake.

Jim was owner and operator of the Brunswick Hotel. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are daughter, Sandra Folk and husband Wayne Baker, Frostburg; son, Pat McKenzie, Charlestown WV; sister, Deborah Negley, Frostburg; two grandchildren, Wayne Folk and Tyler Folk and partner Rachael Shockey; two great grandchildren, Levi and Danielle Folk; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 11am to 1 pm. Frostburg Elks Lodge #470 will hold a Memorial Service at noon. The funeral service will be held following the visitation with Rev.

Joe Penick officiating. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap. Military Honors will be accorded by Fort Cumberland Post #13 Honor Guard.
