James O Flowers , February 08, 1931 — March 20, 2018

James O. Flowers, age 87, New Castle resident, passed away Tuesday March 20, 2018. He was born February 8, 1931 in Byrdstown, Tennessee, a Son of the late Drexel Oren and Sarah Hester Garrett Flowers. He had resided in New Castle most of his life, and was a Korean War Veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corp from 1952 – 1960.

Mr. Flowers had worked for Chrysler Corporation, Chevrolet Motors, and for Allisons in Indianapolis the last 25 years of his working career. He also was a landscaper, and enjoyed working on automobiles. He loved family activities and sharing time with his family and friends.

Flowers (Wife, Lisa) of New Castle, Indiana, seven Grandchildren; Michael A. Flowers of Union City, Indiana, Krista Cotter (Husband, Brent) of Union City, Indiana, Megan Segovia (Husband, Alex) of Johnston, Iowa, Stephanie Bowen (Husband, Jason) of rural New Castle, Stacie Flowers of New Castle, Tiffany Johnson (Husband, Duane) of New Castle, Ashley Sletvett (Husband, Zach) of New Castle, 23 Great Grandchildren; Christopher, Nathan, Sidney, Katie, Cheyenne, Raymond, Madilynne, London, Damian, Lydia, Penelope, Aubrie, Dimitri, Donavin, Brendan, Christian, Noah, Elijah, Alyssa, Aiden, Tyler, Brantly, Addison, one Sister, Jean Williams of Greenfield, Indiana, his Best Friend John Jenkins of New Castle, and several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by: his Parents, one Grandson, Brandon Flowers, and three Brothers; Philip Flowers, Clifford Flowers, and Freeman Flowers. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday March 23, 2018 at Macer-Hall Funeral Home & Cremation Services in New Castle.

Funeral will be at 10:30 Saturday March 24, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the U.S.M.C.
