Oyler, 64, died Saturday in Bridgeport Hospital. Jimmy was born in Springfield, grew up in Chicopee, graduating from Chicopee High School. He was a longtime route salesman for Dreikorn’s, Frito-Lay and Fuji Film.

He most enjoyed being a father and making people laugh. Jimmy was a communicant of Grace Episcopal Church in Chicopee for many years. He leaves his daughter Melissa Oyler; a son Patrick Oyler; his father Norman Oyler; sisters Barbara Roberts, Candy Oyler and Laurie Oyler; a granddaughter Deianeira Matlock and two great grandsons Donovan and Evan.

He was predeceased by his mother Ruth Oyler and two brothers Bruce and John Oyler. The funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home Friday at 11:00am. Visiting hours will be held prior to the funeral home service Friday from 10:00 – 11:00am.
