Judith Whitehead January 05, 1937 – February 02, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Judith Whitehead 1937 – 2019 West Springfield – Judith (Brown) Whitehead, 82, formerly of Apple Ridge Road passed away peacefully February 2, 2019 in a Wallingford, CT Hospice. Judy was born in Springfield, January 5, 1937, the fourth child of five to the late Norman and Melvia (Kingsbury) Brown and has lived in West Springfield her entire life. She was a 1955 graduate of West Springfield High School and worked for MassMutual Insurance Company for 40 years before retiring in 1999.

She was a life long member of the First Congregational Church. Her husband of 49 years, and high school sweetheart, George “Chick” Whitehead died in 2007. Judith is survived by a daughter Kim Smith and her husband Matthew and their children Erik and Benjamin and her two brothers Allan and Wayne Brown.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by her two sisters Norma and Joan. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed. The funeral will be held at the First Congregational Church, 54 Lathrop Street, West Springfield Saturday, February 16th at 11:00am with a spring burial in Ashleyville Cemetery.
