Casimir J. Skrok September 07, 1929 – March 11, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Casimir J. Skrok 1929 – 2019 SOUTH HADLEY – Casimir J. Skrok, 89, died peacefully Monday afternoon surrounded by his loving family in the Holyoke Soldier’s Home. Cas was born in Holyoke, son of the late John and Agnes (Leszkowicz) Skrok and has lived in South Hadley most of his life. He was a retired Hammer Operator for the Moore Drop Forge Company.

During the Korean War, he served with the United States Navy as a Commissary Seaman on the LST-603. A communicant of St. Theresa’s Church, he also was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved the horses and trips to the casino. He is predeceased by his loving wife Carole A (Laporte) in 2005.

He leaves three children Deborah Archambault and her husband David, Steven Skrok and his wife Katie and Susan Skrok; five grandchildren Lindsey Archambault and her boyfriend Nikita Kirpichev, Cherie Curran and her husband Brian, Kimberly Coughlin and her husband Sean, Michael and Bryan Pascoe; two great grandchildren, Mia and Owen. He also leaves his brother-in-law Ronald Laporte and sister-in-law Joan Casavant and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents, Casimir was predeceased by his siblings Walter Skrok, Mary Goral, Stacia Kozuch and Bertha Sorton.

The family would also like to thank all of his caregivers who were there throughout the years. The funeral will be held at the Curran-O’Brien Funeral Home, 33 Lamb Street, South Hadley Saturday at 9:30 with Liturgy in St. Theresa’s Church at 11:00am followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 – 10:30am.
