Obituary of James Spontarelli James E. Spontarelli, 84, of Flagg Avenue, Jamestown, died Tuesday November 20, 2018, in Absolut Care, Westfield. He was born April 30, 1934, in Big Run, PA, a son of the late Ben and Esther Anderson Spontarelli. Following graduation from Curwinsville High School he served in the US Marine Corps from 1955-58.

Prior to his retirement he was employed by Jamestown Public School System as a custodian. In earlier years he was a member of Laborers Local 600. He was a member of First Church of God, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Surviving are three children James Spontarelli of Lykens, PA Tammy (Jim Rossing) Spontarelli of Frewsburg and William (Wendy Wilson) Spontarelli of Jamestown; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and a brother Ben Spontarelli of Ohio. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Kay Kelly Spontarelli, whom he married September 29, 1956 and who died April 18, 1988; a daughter Katherine Walrod and an infant grandson William F. Spontarelli. A celebration of life will be held at 1-4 p.m. Monday at the Samuel Derby Post 556 American Legion, Frewsburg, NY.
