Obituary for Janet O’Dell (Mouthuy) Janet O’Dell, age 84, of Joplin, passed away on Thursday December 20, 2018 at the KU Medical Center. Janet, daughter of the late Charles and Lola (Williams) Mouthey, was born on January 21, 1934 in Joplin. On December 16, 1955 she was united in marriage to Richard O’Dell, who preceded her in death on July 18, 1982.

She was a lifelong resident of Joplin and was a sales associate with JC Penny for twenty years. Janet enjoyed time with the Senior group playing cards, visiting family and traveling. Survivors include; one son, Rich O’Dell, of Joplin; one brother, Charles Mouthey, and his wife, Nancy, of Miami, Ok; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Christie O’Dell and Terri Hathaway. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial to follow in the Saginaw Cemetery.
