Mrs. Janette B. Lawter, 71, W. Center St. Ext. , died Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Accordius Health at Lexington. She was born in Montgomery County to Terrell Montgomery Bean and Pauline K. Bean on February 7, 1948.

She was a former employee of Roses Discount Store. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James Lawter, Sr. Surviving are her son, Douglas Wayne Lawter of the home; adopted family members Larry and Donna Baker of Lexington and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Monday at 2:00pm at Freedom Baptist Church, where she was a member, by Preacher Clyde Akers.

Burial will be in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Monday at the church. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Janette B. Lawter please visit our Sympathy Store.
