Christine Savannah Reid Holmes, 98, was called home on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Accordius Health at Lexington. She was born April 16, 1920 to Grady Reid and Mattie Hargrave Reid. The funeral service will be Wednesday at Files Chapel Baptist Church at 2:00pm with family visitation a half hour before the service.

Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery She was a faithful and devoted member of Files Chapel Baptist Church, a member of the Kitchen Committee and the Willing Workers. She retired from Dixie Furniture (Lexington Home Brands). She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Willie Holmes, her husband, Ervin Frazier; two sons, Willie and Thurman Holmes; a step son, James Frazier and a sister, Louise Michael.

She is survived by four sons: Grady Holmes, Albert R. Holmes, Milton Holmes and Alfred Holmes; two daughters, Virginia Ann Dukes and Mattie Mack; three step-sons: Billy Frazier, Norman Frazier and Terry Frazier; two step daughters, Shelia Frazier and Brenda Dewitt; a devoted grandson who was reared as a son, Vernon Lee Holmes and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
